Bangalore 24th Jan: Federation of Tibetan Cooperatives in India Ltd (FTCI) today begins a 4-day training in the field of Project Cycle Management & Proposal Writing, Management Accounting Concept, Business Plan, Budgetary Management, Cooperative Acts & Rules to Secretaries of 12 Member Cooperative Societies and General Managers of FTCI units at FTCI conference hall in Bangalore.
A total of 15 participants are taking part in the training. Participants’ work in different cooperative societies and are entrusted with overall management and administration of various business activities of Tibetan Cooperatives and FTCI business units.
Dr Kunchok Tsundue, Chief Planning Officer, CTA, Mr Jaya Kumar. J, Chartered Accountant, Mr C.N Parshivamurthy, Retd. Addl. RCS, Mr M N Aswatha Narayana, Retd. Additional RCS, Mr Suresh Narayanan, Lecturer, RICM and Mr Dawa Dorjee, former CTA staff are the resource persons for the training sessions, who have a wide-range of knowledge and experience in project, Cooperative law and Finance & Account.
An inaugural function for the training was held before the start of training sessions. Mr Chomphel Thupten, Chief Representative, South Zone, Bangalore graced the function as a Chief Guest. Also present during the function were FTCI Chairman, FTCI CEO, Secretaries of 12 societies, FTCI General Managers and FTCI Head Office Staff.
Following lighting of butter lamp at HH the Dalai Lama portrait, traditional sweet rice was served to all the people who were present at the function.
While welcoming the participants, FTCI CEO, said, “the training is aimed to equip the participants with necessary skills & knowledge on business and to empower them to efficiently and effectively manage and administer the affairs of cooperative societies and business units.”
In his address, FTCI Chairman, emphasized on importance of this training program. He asked the participants to take active part in training program by paying attention and asking queries during all the training sessions. He thanked the Chief Guest Mr Chomphel Thupten, Chief Representative and Dr Kunchok Tsundue, Chief Planning Officer for coming here despite their busy schedule.
The Chief Guest underlined the significance of cooperative for the livelihood of people in general. He recounted the recent statements of Shri Pranab Mukherjee, Honorable President of India, who lately emphasized on importance of cooperative in overall development of national economy.
KuN-goe Chomphel Thupten la further narrated huge relevance of cooperative to Tibetan community especially 30-40 years back and significant help and benefits being provided by Tibetan cooperative societies to share members as of now.
The training is funded by Tibet Fund, New York and FTCI and organized solely by FTCI.
FTCI is an apex body of 15 member cooperative societies. These 15 societies are operating various business activities in 9 different states in India.
