Bengaluru Nov 12: The 6th International Organic Trade Fair (BioFach India) together with India Organic was held at Bengaluru Palace Ground from 10th November to 12th November, 2011. Participants were from Germany, Australia and 22 Indian states. There were more than 165 exhibitors and numerous seminars. More than 30 Tibetans comprising of Settlement Officers, Agricultural Extension Officers and farmers participated with members of FTCI in seminars and in exhibiting Tibetan Organic produce.
The inaugural function was presided over by the Honorable Shri D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Chief Minister of Karnataka and the valedictory function was held on the last day. Tibetan Organic has bagged Best Stall booth –Runners up trophy. The trophy was given by Karnataka Agriculture Minister. The reason cited for conferring the trophy was interior décor, atmosphere, product and people working in the stall which created a feeling of Tibet to the juries from BioFach India Organic.
