Kollegal 25 August: The 12th Annual Conference of Tibetan Co-operatives in India commenced at Kollegal Tibetan Settlement’s community hall this morning. Speaking on the occasion the Chief Guest Shri Krishna Gowda, Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies in Karnataka said, “Tibetan Co-operatives get same benefits that other co-operatives in Karnataka are given. Societies get subsidies on agriculture inputs and members get subsidized agriculture loans and Yeshasvini Co-operative health care scheme, so on”.
FTCI organizes annual conference every year in one of the member co-operative Societies. More than 60 delegates comprising of Chairman, Secretary and a member of BOD along with FTCI CEO, Deputy CEO, CAO and General Managers of FTCI units participate in this three days conference and discuss about new innovations and ways to improve co-operatives and sustainability of Tibetan settlements. At the same venue FTCI’s Annual General Body Meeting is also held.
This year FTCI introduced Best Tibetan Entrepreneur of the year Award and presented the same to Mr. Jigme Namgyal of Gangjong Enterprises, Hunsur.
Members of FTCI run more than 150 units and this year total profit earned in 15 co-operatives is about 200 Lakhs rupees. FTCI members have more than 24,000 shareholders in India.
