Bangalore Dec 28: FTCI CEO Mr. Tashi Wangdu attended the closing ceremony of the 6th Tibetan College Students Conference held in Bengaluru from 26th to 28th Dec 2011 as Guest of Honor.
During the closing function, Mr. Wangdu introduced the movement of Tibetan Co-operative Societies in India in general and Federation of Tibetan Co-operatives in India Ltd. in particular. He also talked about how Tibetan Co-operative Societies contribute towards the livelihood of Tibetans in India, especially major Tibetan refugees living in agriculture based settlements.
Later he spoke to the younger generation on importance of serving our community after completing their studies and reminded the huge responsibility they have to shoulder when their time comes to lead the freedom struggle, as HH the Dalai Lama is getting older.
Tibetan college student’s conference is held every year and this year conference has 64 student participants from 14 different places in India and Nepal.
