Tibet Fund’s advisor meets Tibetan entrepreneurs and cooperators

Bangalore 12 Sept: As a part of the rapid assessment  to establish Entrepreneur development cell, Community bank and rural BPO, Mr. Peter Korynski (Senior Advisor of Tibet Fund’s Entrepreneurship Development) visited Dharamsala, Delhi and Bangalore and spent nearly 10 days, meeting with key people of CTA, FTCI and Tibetan entrepreneurs.

His Bangalore visit started with meeting FTCI CEO and staff at Hotel Tibet. He discussed with them on FTCI’s upcoming projects including rural BPO, Tibet Infotech Solutions. On the following day, Mr Peter had in-depth discussion with Tibetan co-operators (Chairman and CEO) and discussed on issues relating to co-operative’s business expansion plan. His meeting also included interaction with Gangjong and Dorpan enterprise from Tibetan settlement and visit to Tibetan sweater sellers at Shivaji Nagar. Following his meeting with 20 Tibetan entrepreneurs of Bangalore, he visited Nelamangala and interacted with students of CTA Home Department’s YES Vocational Training Center.

In all his meeting, he enquired about how Tibet Fund can provide assistance to promote and develop Tibetan entrepreneurship besides setting up of Tibetan community bank.

Tibet Fund is non-profit organization that was established in New York in 1981 to provide humanitarian assistance to Tibetan refugees.  Tibet Fund programs include support on health care, education, refugee rehabilitation, cultural preservation and economic development to Tibetan in exile.
