Bylakuppe 4 Sept: The 33rd AGM of Tibetan Dickyi Larsoe Cooperative Society was held at its community hall with the presence of over 300 share members. Mr. Jigmey Jungney la, Member of Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile and Mr. Jampa Phuntsok la, Representative, TDL Settlement attended the inaugural program as a Chief Guest and Guest of honour.
During the function, the society awarded top 19 share members who maintained crop in good condition at the time of procurement last year. This award is a new initiative introduced by the society to encourage and recognize maintenance of quality maize by the share members. These top 19 members have been selected by BoDs of the society.
At the meeting, the members applauded when informed about the prize given by FTCI to the society at Kollegal settlement recently for being the highest profit making society and for giving the best service to its members among all 15 cooperative societies.
TDL Co-operative Society earned Rs. 65 Lakhs last year 2011-12. They also distributed Rs. 24 Lakhs to those farmers who sold their maize to Co-operative last year.
