Kollegal 25 August: Mr Jigme Namgyal of Gangjong Enterprise, Hunsur in Mysore Distt, India has been awarded the Best Tibetan Entrepreneur Award for the year 2012 at the inaugural function of 12th Annual Conference of 15 Tibetan cooperative societies held at Kollegal settlement.
After receiving the award shield, Certificate and cash prize of Rs 25,000.00, Mr Jigme Namgyal said, “I am honored to have received this award. I will preserve this shield & certificate and deposit the cash prize amount in Hunsur Rabgayling Cooperative Society. I will use the interest amount earned from the deposit as a prize for 2 students of 9th standard from Rabgayling school who get the top score in Tibetan subject in annual exam every year”.
He also thanked Rabgayling Cooperative Society in providing a house for starting his enterprise.
Mr Jigme Namgyal runs Gangjong Enterprise at Hunsur Rabgayling settlement since from September 2007. His company produces eatables like sweet tamarind (Emli), special organic chilli powder and snacks (khatsapo). He also deals with repair of solar street light and UPS battery. Currently he employs 8 regular staff and 16 seasonal staff.
