Bangalore 29 July: On the first leg of Kalon Tripa Dr. Lobsang Sangay’s first official tour to Tibetan settlements in Karnataka, he met Tibetan residing in Bangalore and visited Tibet Mall.
Kalon Tripa arrived Bangalore on 29 July and met with Tibetans residing in Bangalore at Tibetan Youth Hostel’s auditorium and later visited Tibet Mall and had a dinner at Hotel Tibet Bangalore.
Kalon Tripa visited Tibetan Settlements in Hunsur, Bylakuppe and Mundgod for 6 days and later called on Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri Jagadish Shetter at the CM’s office on August 4, 2012.
Dr. Lobsang Sangay sworn in as the first Kalon Tripa, (Prime Minister of the Tibetan Government in Exile) a year ago after H.H. the Dalai Lama devolved his whole political power to the elected leaders of Tibet.
