Hunsur 11 Apr: A formal function for the launch of new 36 seater bus, funded by Woeser Association through FTCI and TRCF was held at Hunsur Rabgayling settlement on 10th April morning. FTCI Chairman Mr Pema Delek, Chief Guest for the inauguration, formally launched the bus in the presence of TRCF Secretary and heads of various organizations of the settlement.
The proposal for new bus was made jointly by Tibetan Rabgayling Co-operative Society and Rabgayling Parent & Teacher Association to FTCI, TRCF and Woeser Association in the view of poor bus condition, frequent break down and high bus maintenance cost.
During the break down of bus, it posed tremendous inconvenience as students and their parents had to arrange their own transportation especially for those families who don’t own vehicle. Students faced more difficulties when the break down happened during monsoon and hot weather. Elephants passing on the road during morning time were another cause of concern for the parents and their children.
Donation of new bus provides safety and convenience to 240 students, their parents and school administration. New school bus enables timely pick up and drop service to children. The bus picks up and drop children as far as from MO village which is over 2.5 Km from school.
Rabgayling Tibetan Settlement which is located near to Hunsur, Mysore district was established in 1971. The current population of the settlement is 3333. Hunsur Co-operative Society Ltd registered under the Karnataka State Co-operative Act, was started on 18 March, 1972.
