Dharamsala 29 Nov: Hotel Tibet Dharmasala took part in a-day long “Himalayan Festival” jointly organized by Department of Home, CTA and Department of Tourism, Government of Himachal Pradesh at Shimla on 23rd November 2013. The festival aimed at fostering friendship and cultural exchanges among different communities in Himalayan region was inaugurated by Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. Other dignitaries present on the occasion were Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, Deputy Speaker Khenpo Sonam Tenphel, Health Kalon Dr Tsering Wangchuk and Director of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Mr Mohan Chauhan.
Hotel Tibet Dharamsala exhibited and sold different Tibetan delicacies in the stall. Tibetan stall section include photo exhibition on Tibetan history by DIIR, CTA, medical camp & expo by Men-Tsee Khang, sand Mandela by Dorjee Drak Monastery.
Cultural dances and folk songs were also performed by the artists from TIPA, Sikkim, Bhutan, Ladakh, Nepal and other.
