Mundgod 30 Dec: The 2-day conference of Tibetan entrepreneurs started today morning at Local Tibetan assembly hall of Doeguling settlement, Mundgod. Sikyong Dr Lobsang Sangay, political head of CTA graced the function as Chief Guest and Shri Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City as Guest of Honor. Also present during the function were heads and representatives of different monasteries and organizations of Mundgod settlement.
Ms. Youdon Aukartsang, Executive Director of Empowering Vision for-mostly welcomed the guests and participants. In her speech, she said briefly about purpose of organizing the conference and she also introduced speakers of the conference.
In his keynote address, Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay said about new schemes which CTA is going to introduce and efforts which CTA departments are making to inspire Tibetan Entrepreneurs.
Mr Sandeep, who is also President of Asian Academy of Film and Television announced 55 scholarships for Tibetan student and said entertainment industry is very big and Tibetans must join this industry. A memento award was present to him.
During the Thank you note by FTCI CEO Tashi Wangdu, he said Tibetan Entrepreneurs have been neglected in the past and CTA must do more in supporting them in the future and he also requests all Tibetan entrepreneurs to contribute voluntarily in Tibetan Freedom Movement according to Charter.
The sessions to be covered during the conference include Speaker session which discuss on how to make a good business plan and presentation on the study of the status of Tibetan entrepreneurship. Panel discussion on sharing best practices of doing business, existing and new resources for entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship: its impact and importance to the community will also be discussed during the conference.
A session will also be dedicated on business showcasing which gives a platform to 3 Tibetan entrepreneurs to showcase their business ideas and plan and invite investment from Tibetan.
The Global Tibetan Entrepreneurship Conference is jointly organized by FTCI and Empowering Vision. About 45 participants took part from India, Nepal and Europe. His Holiness the Dalai Lama blessed the participants on 29 Dec 2014 at Drepung Lachi hall.
