Gangtok 6 Nov: The 3rd quarter Board of Director’s meeting of FTCI was held at Hotel Tibet Gangtok on 5th and 6th of November 2012.
Several important agendas were discussed in-depth during these 2 days meeting besides sanctioning of revised budget for the year 2012-13. Enhancement of Dearness Allowance by 20% on basic salary to all FTCI staff members and contribution or support to 132 poor and needy Tibetan by enrolling them under Tibetan Medicare System’s individual coverage to receive cashless benefits of INR 50,000 per individual for the year 2013-14 were two crucial decisions made through unanimous resolution.
FTCI invariably strives for its employees to be highest paid staff among all the employees across Tibetan community. The new form of social intervention i.e, supporting 132 poor and needy Tibetan to get cashless benefits from TMC is inspired solely by HH the Dalai Lama’s call for practical support to the poor through cooperative activities.
