FTCI joins National Cooperative Union of India

Delhi 9 Apr: Federation of Tibetan Co-operatives in India Ltd., (FTCI) formally get enrolled as member of National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI)..

NCUI is a national body for cooperatives and it is funded by Government of India.

Dr. Dinesh, Chief Executive of NCUI said, “I am very happy that FTCI has joined NCUI. It is nice to see one of the most successful cooperative in India, formally becoming a member of NCUI”.

The National Cooperative Union of India, is the apex organisation representing the entire cooperative movement in the country. It was established in 1929 as All India Cooperative Institutes Association and later in 1961 as National Cooperative Union of India. At present, there are 207 institutions that are members of NCUI.

FTCI registered under Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act on 20th Apr 2005 with the guidance from Central Tibetan Administration. FTCI has 15 registered co-operatives as member. These 15 co-operatives run different multi-purpose activities in the interest of its share members and general public in 15 major Tibetan Settlements in India.
